Supply Chain Specialist

If so, lets talk. **Your role and responsibilities** Under the overall direction of the Supply Assurance Lead Interface, the supply chain specialist procures parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and services. Analyzes requirements and pursues actions regarding cost, quality, and delivery for assigned purchases. Responsibilities include participating in meetings with IBM parts supplier representatives hosted by IBM procurement, having a basic knowledge of areas supported and maintaining constant awareness of new and changing requirements. Responsible for maintaining documentation in accordance with IBM Procurement Policies and Practices Under the overall direction of the Supply Assurance Lead Interface, the supply chain specialist procures parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and services. Responsible for maintaining documentation in accordance with IBM Procurement Policies and Practices. **Required technical and professional expertise** Ability to perform basic administrative skills on a variety of functionally specific tasks in a diverse complex environment. Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of overall business process for predefined IBM procedures and processes. Able to perform data entry, filing, tracking, distribution, report creation, basic problem resolution, data analysis, and reconciliation. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Purchasing experience. SAP knowledge, kinaxis is a plus.
