Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: hybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Czechia. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProduction support while ensuring a smooth flow of material and services related to the production plan and the overall operation of the organization•\tAnalysis of assigned projects, preparation of supplier RFQs, evaluation of bids, compilation of project calculations with regard to the planned budget, search for opportunities to generate savings•\tCooperation with the logistics department in ensuring incoming and outgoing shipments/transports•\tResolving complaints, providing documents in cooperation with the quality department•\tCooperation in conducting supplier audits, qualifications, evaluations•\tCooperation with global purchasing on the search, development and optimization of suppliers, maintenance of the supply chain (the emphasis is placed on the permanently low number of suppliers able to meet all the requirements of the organization)•\tActive cooperation with shared service centers in order to implement new processes, purchase indirect material and services, cooperation with the finance department•\tManagement of the agenda associated with asset registration (investment management, administration associated with activation, decommissioning and changes in the company's assets)•\tReporting and creating analyzes related to the preparation and implementation of purchasing strategies, supply chain management and strategic purchasing support
Qualifications for the role\tSecondary/university education (we prefer technical or economic fields)\tPrevious experience in purchasing at least 2 years\tExperience reading technical drawing documentation\tKnowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, knowledge of the SAP system \tFluent knowledge of the Czech/Slovak language\tKnowledge of the English language at a communicative level (B2 – C1) – teleconferencing with suppliers\tGood communication skills, consistency, and determination to complete projects
