Supply Chain Specialist I

The Supply Chain Specialist I is an entry-level position supporting efficient and effective management of WACKER’s global cyclodextrin Supply Chain. This role is primarily responsible for coordinating raw & finished products between source and the final destination to support near and midterm production schedules, global order fulfillment, and maintain optimal inventory levels.

 

The Supply Chain Specialist I will collaborate closely with regional and global service providers, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to align supply chain activities with the business strategy.

 

The Supply Chain Specialist I, plays a valuable role in identifying and escalating bottlenecks that impact production and customer satisfaction.


Essential Functions of this Position:

Monitor stock requirements of finished products and confirm sales orders to meet the customers requested ETA. Input required data elements into export sales orders. Final review of all sales orders for accuracy before handover to Logistics. Pre-booking of export orders as necessary, with interface between Customer Service, Logistics, and external Logistics service providers. Support Tolling Management by reviewing product demand and scheduling production campaigns. Manage Wacker owned materials inventory at tolling locations to support the production schedule and customer demand. Post goods receipts for tolling service, and interface with Accounting on workflows as necessary. Act as CSR for intercompany orders between the US & Germany, interface with the Burghausen cyclodextrin tolling Supply Chain and ensure material availability, batch assignment, order accuracy, and maintain customer master data. Support the Supply Chain Manager with various duties such as complaints, customer service & sales inquiries, and strategic projects. Month end inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy within SAP.

 

Position Qualifications:

Associate degree required 0-2+ years of relevant experience Experience with production planning, scheduling, and inventory controls preferred. Expereince using Microsoft Office Experience in SAP preferred Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate proactively, clearly, effectively, and professionally Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and identify root causes and effective solutions Up to 5 % travel expected    What do we offer?   WACKER is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
