Supply Chain Specialist

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is presenting an exceptional opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist to lead critical supply chain projects. We seek a candidate with extensive experience in supply chain management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The selected individual will work to enhance inventory management, plan supply and demand, and ensure an efficient supply network.

Responsibilities:

Lead and implement strategic plans to optimize departmental operations based on current priorities.

Oversee key projects related to supply chain constraints and opportunities, ensuring smooth execution and meeting targets.

Collaborate with Procurement leadership and functional teams to identify improvement areas, define necessary resources, and lead supply chain elements for joint projects.

Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to create a crisis management team, map the value chain, conduct scenario planning, assess impacts, communicate effectively, and implement response plans.

Analyze supply chain data to develop metrics and drive continuous improvement in inventory management. Monitor and report key performance indicators, proposing corrective actions as needed.

Serve as a subject matter expert in inventory and supply chain management methodologies. Provide high-level support for ongoing team activities requiring ad-hoc tools and solutions.

Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge through a structured learning path.

Stay updated on best practices in supply network operations and management, promoting ongoing learning.

Engage in Business Resource Groups and local initiatives, contributing to committees and promoting activities.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in leading value chain operations, including inventory management.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, information technologies, or a related field.

A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Deep understanding of inventory management principles and methodologies.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.

Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data visualization tools like Power BI.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with partners. }

Ability to perform in an agile environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus.
