Job Overview:The U-Haul Supply Chain Internship offers motivated students an opportunity to gain practical experience in supply chain management, logistics, and operations. As a summer intern, you will work alongside industry professionals to enhance supply chain processes, analyze data, and support initiatives that drive operational efficiency across our network.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist with analyzing supply chain workflows to identify areas for improvement.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
+ Research and develop strategies to optimize vendor relationships and sourcing decisions.
+ Monitor supply chain data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
+ Participate in supply chain projects, including cost reduction, process improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
+ Support the development and implementation of tools or systems to streamline operations.
+ Attend team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions on supply chain challenges and solutions.
+ Present a final project summarizing contributions and learnings to U-Haul leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
Qualifications:
+ Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
+ Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and problem-solving.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with supply chain software or tools is a plus.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Interest in pursuing a career in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
