Summary

Position Highlights:

Under direction of the Manager of Parking, Fleet & Transportation, this position is responsible for the safety and timely transport of hospital work and supplies to and from all Moffitt Center Campuses. This position may also be needed for daily support to other areas of the Moffitt Cancer Center Parking, Fleet and Transportation office.

 

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of and able to perform routine preventative maintenance on all vehicles (fluid level checks, tire pressure checks, etc.) Follow the proper route and efficiency in the timely drop off/pick up of items from any building on any campus of Moffitt Cancer Center. Follows proper traffic laws to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients, and citizens. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitizing of vehicles. Prepares and maintains spreadsheet if needed for specimens and item deliveries

Credentials and Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required. Valid Florida Driver’s license upon hire required. Minimum of three (3) years healthcare, receiving, or customer service experience is required. Ability to operate vehicles of various sizes and abilities from electric and gas driven trams (golf carts) to full sized vans. Ability to visually inspect key predetermined components of vehicle and determine if vehicle condition is safe for operation. Knowledge of and able to perform routine preventative maintenance on all vehicles (fluid level checks, tire pressure checks, etc.) Evidence of a safe driving record. Intermediate computer skill levels, to include MS Excel, outlook, calendar, Internet map and geographical software programs, as well as the use of cell phones for email communication and calendar scheduling.
