Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Supply Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and driving key development projects within the supply chain and sourcing functions. You will lead the planning, budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, and risk management of projects to enhance our supply base and ensure the highest standards of supplier quality.The work model for the role is hybrid: #LI-hybridThe location for the position is either in Helsinki, Finland or in Shanghai, China.You will be mainly accountable for:• Managing development projects in supply chain and sourcing. • Developing the supply base and scouting for new suppliers in the market.• Developing supplier quality and suppliers’ quality management processes.• Assessing and evaluating potential new supplier candidates in collaboration with sourcing, quality and R&D.• Acting as a single point of contact between the project and the supply chain organizations.• Securing the ramp up of new suppliers in collaboration with quality and operations.• Developing suppliers’ capabilities.

Qualifications for the role

M.Sc in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to handle negotiations effectively with suppliers. Previous working experience from the strategic sourcing, operational purchasing or other supply chain functions. 2-5 years’ experience of leading projects as a project manager in supply chain development projects. Previous experience from quality management and quality assurance development. Capability to manage project team consisting of experts with diverse cultural backgrounds. Capability to manage several stakeholders and suppliers. Proficiency in English language.Valued but not required: Technical knowhow in one or more of the following areas: castings, machinings, forgings, weldings, electrical components and products, automation systems Auditing experience Lean six sigma certification
