Overview **This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP** Responsible for daily supply operations for Maintenance Operations Department to include performing technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Assists Manager in planning and coordinating workloads to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities. Establishes programs to meet normal and contingency mission requirements. Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potential problems or those identified by management and/or the government. Ensures all required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Monitor the Shelf-Life program. Provides management direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day warehouse operations. This may include but not limited to storage, inventories, receiving, shipping and preparation of all supporting documentation. Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks. Monitors and evaluates work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulations pertaining to their assigned duties. Ensures that employees are always in compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulations. Ensures safeguarding of all Army property and equipment. Implements Work Performance Training when required. Performs other duties and assignments as require. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Must be a U.S. Citizen GCSS-A Certification desired. If no certification, must successfully complete web base or in-person training courses within 90 days of assuming position. Experience: Minimum of 3 years specialized experience in supply related field. A solid background in automated data systems and automated. Must have working knowledge of AIS system or civilian equivalent. Skills Military experience and training in Supply related field(s) desired. Extensive civilian experience will be accepted in lieu of military experience. Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including work, Excel, Outlook and other related applications Must be familiar with appropriate AR’s (Army Regulations) and TM’s (Technical Manuals) concerning all supply activities for the receipt, storage, inventory and issue of supplies and equipment. Must be able to identify and act on unique or recurring customer issues Must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Must have high-level organizational and planning skills. Must be able coach and mentor staff in a professional manner that promotes a healthy work environment. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
