SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Ordnance Systems Engineering and Management Department, DoD Systems Engineering and Management Division, NAVSUP Systems Support Branch of the Navy Munitions Command Atlantic (NMCLANT), Yorktown, VA. Responsibilities You will coordinate and execute logistics management, material movement, supply material transactions and will be accountable for inventory and transactional accuracy. You will perform receiving, packing, storing, and issuing of assets in accordance with the NMCLANT overall warehousing plan and procedures. You will process receipts, requisitions, issue documents, stock quantity change notifications, and survey action documents for items requiring special handling. You will screen incoming material by unpacking and uncrating, determine the accuracy, condition, verify National Stock Number (NSN), nomenclature, quantity, unit of pack, and location of items. You will process the disposal, plans and arrange material to achieve maximum efficiency of storage space and accuracy of inventory. You will ensure material is protected from damage, pilferage, deterioration, is properly identified, prepare discrepancy reports as required. You will use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for inventory management and accountability, generate material status updates, material handling documents, and reports. You will select and assemble items for shipment, ensuring issue assets are loaded aboard properly, verify conveyance and shipping data is recorded on applicable documents. You will coordinate the work of other employees, provide technical guidance to assisting employees from other trades and spot checks work. You will audit stowed items for nomenclature, stock number, type of pack, quantity, and condition and certify count, correct material status and document missing items. You will maintain incidental records such as locator files and logs, update leadership on equipment status and condition and maintain compliance with Naval Supply Instruction (NAVSUP) 437 and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Instruction 4440.24. You will be responsible for performing physical inventory inspections, audits, research, resolve and reconcile inventory discrepancies. You will perform transaction history research and analysis, produce transaction reports, and queries to management and/or sponsors. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience must include at least 12 months' experience, education, or training with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and packing and processing material in a warehouse for supply workloads. Experience must include procuring material through various means to maintain material on hand for repair work.
