The Supply Operations Manager works closely with the Supply Manager regarding materiel management/supply site operations and maintaining materiel/supply management systems and supply facilities. This position is responsible for understanding processes associated with the ILS-S/M Supply systems and must be knowledgeable of the duties for all Supply positions to supervise and direct work tasks to all assigned employees, as well as provide backup support and training as necessary within the boundaries of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Responsibilities
Develop and interpret all policies and procedures governing the management of supply functions assigned to functional elements, in coordination with the Project Manager (PM) and/or Supply Manager to sustain a successful operation
Develop and recommend quality improvement efforts to the PM and/or Supply Manager
Ensure all employees are informed of their responsibilities and in compliance with the PWS
Manage a robust training program to include certifying employees, completion of all company and government directed training and ensuring new hires receive proper classroom or on-the-job training, as necessary
Provide optimal service operations, including solving customer issues within proper USAF Supply procedures
Oversee the compilation, preparation, analysis, and distribution of appropriate reports and be cognizant of recommended appropriate actions and conclusions
Oversee contract deliverables and ensure they are correctly prepared and submitted on time to the PM and/or Supply Manager
Maintain open communication with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and all contract personnel to ensure the provisions of the PWS meet expectations
Monitor fleet status and advise Supply Manager and/or PM on status of the vehicles
Ensure leave requests and timesheets are approved timely IAW the CBA and company policies
Accountable for meeting safety performance standards and completing all work safely
Responsible for the timely reporting of accidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous situations in accordance with company policy, base policy, and federal environmental requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
U.S. Citizen
High School graduate, some college preferred
Knowledge of governing USAF Materiel Management (ILS-S/M) and Supply regulations, procedures, instructions, handbooks, and technical orders
8 years’ experience USAF Standard Base Supply/ILS-S desirable
5 years’ managerial and/or supervisory experience, within last 7 years
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD secret security clearance
