Overview:

The Supply Planner is part of a supply chain team that is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory planning and procurement cost across the supply chain network. The team works closely with the Commercial teams of multiple Business Units, each serving an Industry or Product Line.

 

Success or failure is largely determined by the proactive attitude of the planner and his/her ability to coordinate with others while challenging his/her supply chain expertise. Determining the risks for the supply (what can go wrong), focus on clear communication (does the other party understand my plans) and a goal-oriented approach to supply issues (what needs to be done to achieve the desired supply, inventory and service position).

 

What you’ll do:

 

Each planner has a clear set of products assigned, for which he/she coordinates the supply chain with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service and the Commercial (Product Management & Sales). The planner is responsible for the service of product deliveries to the customer and meeting cost, inventory and supplier restrictions (end-to-end). Timely and factual escalation is an important skill for success.

Purchase with suppliers contracted by Product Management Balance the Purchase in relation to resulting inventory, supplier and transport restrictions and commercial input on pricing/demand expectations/strategic positions (escalate when needed for valid decision making) Ensure purchase prices are up to date (provided by Product Management) Inventory management Total inventory Excess inventory identification and reduction Product availability for sales orders Escalation management and coordination (fast, clear and detailed communication to all stakeholders) Continuous process improvement on planning processes linking to business requirements Improve/ liaise with suppliers to improve supply confirmation and delivery accuracy Monitor performance in Univar Tableau reporting Service: Coordinate with Logistics, Operations and Customer Service to achieve On Time In Full shipments to customers Identify ways to improve supply planning processes by utilizing current tools. What you’ll need: Education: bachelor or university degree or equivalent experience SAP experience is a plus, MS Excel experience and strong analytical skills Able to change and adapt in a fast-moving environment Ability to deal with ambiguous situations Strong collaboration and communication skills required

Pay & Benefits:

 

The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.

 

Where you’ll work:

 

Commerce, CA.  Hybrid work schedule. Three days remote and two days in office.
