Supply Planner

The Proprietary Brands Supply Planner is responsible for the monthly issuance of Purchase Orders to our International Suppliers and maintaining high customer order fill rates  by closely managing Suppliers production plans, shipping schedules and their resource planning (short-term and long-term). This position also works to optimize a multi DC inventory network with stock balancing measures to meet customer demand and  minimize supply chain costs. Additional responsibilities include management of supplier scorecard performance and new supplier on-boarding.  

Typical pay for this position is $60,000-$75,000/year. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

Issue monthly Purchase Orders Maintain high customer order fill rates Maintain high in stock rate Manage the Suppliers’  production priorities and plans to ensure the requested ship dates are met Provides suppliers, at least on a quarterly basis, mid to long term forecast to allow appropriate timing for resources and long lead time components planning In coordination with Logistics, develop effective shipment plans Key contributor in Supplier meetings by managing Supplier performance to meet expectations Reporting and tracking of Suppliers monthly scorecard performance Development of action plans, in relation to Supplier scorecard metrics, to drive continuous improvement Manage inventory supply network with stock balancing measures to meet customer demand and minimize supply chain costs Effective supply planning of kits and parts together Ongoing excess inventory disposition

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related business field i.e., Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Engineering or Finance.  Or relative job experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory and supply planning, project management, international contract manufacturing, purchasing or supplier performance management. Preferred experience using Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.

Skills:

Logical thinking – ability to analyze a situation and determine a sensible solution. Problem solving – ability to determine the root cause of a problem and determine an effective solution. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, advanced Excel skills is advantageous. Team player – able to work well across business operations teams. Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels within our organization and externally with our suppliers. Capable of utilizing spreadsheet / database files and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP based software to manage the planning process. Organizational Skills – advanced ability of logical thinking combined with strong follow through is key. Adept at working with other cultures. Daily schedule flexibility to manage meetings across different time zones.
