Our team is looking for an analytical & innovative **_Supply Planner_** to join our influential **G** **lobal Planning Team** . The ideal candidate will be responsible for execution to our end-to-end supply chain strategy & driving performance to enable achievement of the financial & overall category goals for Microsoft devices such as Xbox & Surface. As a **_Supply Planner_** **,** you will be responsible for creating, communicating, and executing a product supply plan that ensures the best availability (right product in the right place at the right time) and efficient use of inventory across different regions & segments. You will work with key suppliers, as well as channel, logistics and fulfillment teams to improve product availability, lower overall supply chain costs, and optimize working capital. You will use your creativity to solve complex inventory optimization problems in a scalable way and drive continuous improvement of supply planning processes by benchmarking against best practices. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + **Supply plan management:** + Lead creation of the supply plan, optimizing cost and capacity utilization, ensuring service goals are achieved, and driving timely & accurate supply communications. + Publish build plan to factories and track factory performance against plan, proactively managing all deviations & mitigating risks to meeting the supply commitment. + Partner with logistics teams to determine and execute an optimal fulfillment of the supply plan. + Work with demand planners & channel operations on balancing supply availability to enable sales opportunities & responsive solutions to changes in demand.  + **Inventory management** : + Manage & monitor inventory health on the daily basis, identifying problem areas and driving appropriate actions to achieve inventory targets (weeks of supply, aging, E&O, order confirmation %, among others).  + Define allocation plans for constrained products, ensuring optimal inventory deployment across geographies & segments to achieve sell-through. + **New capability development:** + Recommend how to improve supply planning systems and processes to achieve greater efficiency & scale.  + Drive implementation & adoption of new capabilities. + **Business Intelligence and Analytics:** + Perform analyses & build ‘what-if’ scenario models to support decision making; work to improve data systems and develop new reporting tools to improve supply visibility & accuracy. + Embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/culture) **Qualifications** **Required/Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience + OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years experience in supply chain with prior experience in product supply planning, inventory management, procurement or manufacturing operations. + 2+ years experience with MS Office Applications, including **advanced knowledge of Excel** **Additional or Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience + OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience + OR equivalent experience. + Experience in SAP + Experience in Power BI + APICS certification a plus. + Critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations. + Good business judgment & exceptional presentation skills. Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
