Supply Planner Co-Manufacturing

Job Description:

[BRN - Hybrid] 

 

The Contract Manufacturing Planner is responsible for developing timely and accurate Master Production Schedules (MPS) and/or Supplier Delivery Schedules for all goods produced by and consumed within a third-party manufacturer which supplies finished products, intermediate goods and/or custom packaging.  The Co Man Planner communicates schedules to the Contract Manufacturer that are consistent with the operating strategies and Site-level Execution Agreements (SLEA’s) and ensures delivery to the destination.

What are we looking for? 

Ideally, you’ll have experience in the supply chain, including experience with inventory management or materials planning.

You’ll have worked within Fast Moving Consumer Goods organizations.

We want someone who is a confident PC user (SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)), production planning systems.

You’ll also need to hold a Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Level. 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

Develop production and finished goods inventory plans each period as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle using the latest approved demand plan over the entire planning horizon (18-24 months)

Provide input to Step 3 (capacity/production plan) of the S&OP process. Identify supply, capacity, and product age issues which cannot be resolved in Step 3 with recommendations to the segment planning manager for the S&OP Step 4 reconciliation and trade-off meeting.

Manage the timing of demand and production for promotional events and launches such that the desired quantity of product is available for sale to support customer service metrics.

Serve as lead for identification, investigation, resolution, and communication of customer service issues to all stakeholders.

Set appropriate supply policies including safety stocks, production sourcing, and all parameters used within the planning systems to control demand, scheduling, and deployment

Provide timely input on optimal sourcing decisions (cost & service)

Lead the weekly MPS/Feasibility meetings with relevant plant teams to review issues and actions relating to their 16+ week production schedules, consistent with the agreed supply policies

Ensure all items and activities are accurately reflected and set up in the supply planning system
