Supply Planning Manager

This role is part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Supply team responsible for short-to-mid-term finished goods production planning and overseeing inventory management for the North America business unit. This role will work closely with plant Production Control and Engineering Managers, as well as the Demand Planning and Procurement teams, to develop capacity planning models in support of the AMP-NA demand plan. This role reports to the Associate Director of Supply Planning.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development and implementation of a new SAP IBP Supply Module in North America so that it considers end-to-end costs, capacity constraints, metal availability, logistics costs and achievement of customer service objectives. Create, maintain, own, and present a monthly capacity plan for North America into the IBP planning process that balances customer service, plant schedules, inventory and costs optimally. Lead the monthly Supply Reviews within the business S&OP cycle. Engages with and understands operations and engineering developments by plant and line, acting as a liaison between operations and planning. Accountable for setting Inventory levels/DOS for Cans and Ends with the Director of IBP and monitoring results alongside the Demand Planning team. Track inventory levels at our warehouses and work with logistics if customer demand changes and product needs to be reallocated. Continually evaluate and build upon current processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure continuity between planning and customer expectations. Provide reporting support to other departments as needed.

 

Requirements:

Five or more years experiences in Production Control/Supply Chain Planning, preferred but not required operations experience Bachelor’s degree in related subject required, MBA preferred Understanding of advanced planning approaches, tools and solutions Strong Microsoft Office Suite and SAP skills Strong analytical and financial modelling skills: can work with large data sets to provide analytical support to all aspects of the business Excellent oral and written skills Ability to travel up to 15% Chicago, IL based role
