We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to join our Minerals Procurement Global Quality team. Position based in Vietnam. This role will lead the quality team in Southeast Asia in charge of developing and managing quality functions, engage in supplier quality management, including, but not limited to, supplier and product development, quality compliance programs, and activities for Metso interests and customer satisfaction and success in building up a sustainable supply base in Southeast Asia region. The successful candidate will work with various Business Line quality teams globally within Metso, Procurement, and Metso suppliers in the region and will report to the Senior Global Quality Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Business Lines, other Local HUBs, and Suppliers.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

                                        

Manage activities to provide the correct product on time as per Metso Global Procurement organization requirements. Ensure supplier quality complies with specifications and customer-contracted quality expectations. Manage supplier audits for first approval and interim processes; follow up on required action points. Monitor HSE and sustainability; audit regularly and follow up on required action points. Develop and implement Metso quality requirements at new suppliers. Monitor efficiency of Supply quality processes and initiation of development actions accordingly. Participate in Quality Management System activities and support Quality System improvement studies. Manage external partners & contractors for inspections or auditing of the suppliers if necessary

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Master’s or bachelor’s in metallurgical, materials, and mechanical engineering. Heavy industry experience/background in manufacturing or quality for 5 years minimum. Welding and casting product, manufacturing, and quality control knowledge. Proficient with drawings, specifications, manufacturing, inspection, and related standards. Extensive experience in auditing suppliers locally or globally; lead auditor certification is an asset. Quality management skills are required. Having Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification or project participation is a plus.   English language, reading, writing, and speaking skills at an advanced level. Highly motivated individual who can work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, team management experience, and interpersonal and presentation skills to Manage internal and external interfaces. Has SAP/other Computer Program skills, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required, or any other supplier management portal knowledge is a plus. Able to travel both domestically and internationally without restrictions. Has a valid driver's license (Class B or greater)
