SUPPLY SYSTEM ANALYST
Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY branch of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH. Responsibilities You will analyze and develop ordnance logistics supply chain management policies and procedures to support total asset visibility within the Ordnance Information System (OIS-Wholesale). You will provide analytical and technical support for error remediation and technical assistance for processes and procedures that contribute to the oversight of routine transactional reporting of non-nuclear ordnance. You will conduct research and correct errors, coordinate asset reviews with Echelon II commands, and engage with the Army/Navy customers to improve total asset visibility and financial reporting accuracy. You will be responsible for monitoring ordnance material shipped among Army activities, to include researching and reconciling invalid intransits between Navy and Army reporters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply systems analyst work by applying a practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of supply programs in order to analyze, develop, evaluate, and recommend improvements in policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. I have a thorough knowledge of Navy Ammunition Transaction Reports (ATR),Transaction Item Report (TIR), and ammunition transactional reporting procedures which includes applying analytical and evaluative methods, causative research, and techniques to large datasets in order to determine the root cause of transaction errors to determine necessary corrective actions. I am able to communicate well both orally and in writing. Examples of specialized experience must include all or most of the following: 1) Utilizing ordnance inventory management systems, Ordnance Information System-Wholesale (OIS-W), and Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R) to effectively input and extract data in order to gather ordnance supply management information; 2) Reviewing and reading Ammunition Transaction Reports and Transaction Item Reports in order to ensure effective and efficient operations; 3) Applying MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP reporting procedures; and 4) Having a comprehensive understanding of the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and hands-on experience in using its capabilities.
