Supply Technician

The Supply Technician is responsible for replenishing supply areas, processing issues, processing credits, stocking shelves, assisting in receiving, and responding to customer requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.

Manage PAR levels using automation and hand held devices Rotate inventory in a first in/first out fashion Validate expiration dates on a monthly basis Deliver supplies to all departments and supply areas Process issues and credits in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) Stock storeroom selves as supplies are received Conduct cycle counts on a weekly/monthly basis as assigned Pull cases for Operating Room as assigned Maintain cleanliness and order of all supply areas Exemplify excellent customer relations towards patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers Hold subordinates accountable for conformity to the hospital’s philosophy and policy for promoting positive workplace and customer environments Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient care

Education and Experience

Minimum Required Education: Some high school

Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years’ documented experience in a supply setting; must be proficient with computers
