Supply Technician
Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Material Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will perform a combination of technical and specialized supply support for a variety of mission direct and reimbursable customers. You will conduct extensive fact-finding and analysis to resolve differences. You will maintain status of material needed for customer support and ensures efficient storage operations. You will serve as a contact for statistical physical inventory projects to improve inventory reliability. You will perform such functions as inventory selection, loading/unloading data and generating reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply procedures or supply transactions to include warehousing, receiving and stowing and shipping material, processing and/or providing supply operations support. Specialized experience may include the following: 1) Following prescribed procedures to conduct inventory selection, statistical sample allocation, loading/unloading data and generating reports. 2) Identifying and maintaining customer program requirements against stock availability. 3) Coordinating supply actions with shipping personnel and providing necessary paperwork and packaging of shipments. 4) Conducting quality assurance inspections to assist in resolving problems and performing corrective actions. 5) Scheduling and conducting physical inventories for various materials.
