Supply Technician Marine Corps
Summary CHENEGA FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, LLC Fort Sill, OK Under general supervision, the Supply Technician Marine Corps performs technical duties in Marine operations related to supply & warehouse management Responsibilities Follow established procedures for reporting to the Marine Supply Officer regarding unusual problems or difficulties encountered during the course of work. Complete work assignments under the supervision of the Marine Supply Foreman. Inventory management of office supplies, audio/visual recording, packaged operational rations, field or combat gear, clothing and/or equipment, special tools, equipment, and furniture; communications equipment, cables and parts, computer equipment (from mainframe to personal computers) peripherals, networking cable equipment, accessories and supplies; safety equipment and clothing. Receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating, safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, purchasing, material return, and disposal of supplies and equipment as relates to ground supply operations. Maintain personal computer and mainframe locator systems, conduct inventories, maintain records of sub-custody principal end items, monitor shelf life items through CD ROM and the mainframe support systems, and input data entry transactions and retrieval of historical records. Maintain hand-held optical character recognition scanners, devices, and multimedia retrieval systems. Identify packaging requirements and ensure items are maintained as required; comply with fire and safety regulations; use protective measures for items in storage, including open storage lots and hazardous materials storage areas; establish field supply support areas. Use detailed technical data from the Federal Logistics System in the care and storage program; develop storage space requirements; and store materiel per weight, cube, and clearance factors by categories of supply. Maintain the unit Mechanized Allowance Property, prepare, update, and maintain Consolidated Memorandum Receipts and Packaged Operational Rations reports on a Marine Corps computer and Marine and/or Army-mandated system. Assist Supply Officer in adjusting property records for CMRs. Schedule, issue and reconcile Individual Memorandum Receipts and updates all records. Identify variances with on-hand equipment as compared to TO/E, MAL, TDA, CTA, and other authorized documents. Prepare obsolete or excess equipment for disposal according to guidance issued by higher headquarters. Prepare and submit changes to the property through Command channels to Training and Education Command and Fort Sill, OK. Initiate and complete the justification for equipment based on verbal/written request from user. Analyze, and review requirement of the equipment used and or supported in order to determine the type of equipment and TMDE to request TDA authorization for and requisition. Evaluate, schedule, and initiate requisitions for replacement of equipment and vehicles as much as five years in advance due to age, condition, equipment limits, and funds availability. Use spreadsheets for transactions in supply system. Serve as the unit's supply representative for all open and controlled items. Serve as the shipping and receiving clerk to ensure that all Marine property can be calibrated at the proper level and within prescribed limits. Required to build or make shipping cart with provided woodworking equipment. Receive and process request from customers for purchasing. Perform warehousing duties as needed for issuing all class of supplies and equipment to internal and external customers. Physically receive shipments and stock material as needed. Arrange warehouse stock and provide locations as required. Periodically operate a 4,000-pound electrical or full-powered forklift to receive, move, and store supplies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of experience in the Supply/Logistics field. Possess and continuously maintain a current driver’s license. License to operate MHE (forklifts, tractors, etc.) and operate bulk and small parts conveyor systems used in warehousing operations, Preferred. Completion of military or civilian courses in logistics Preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access. Basic computer skills . Proficient in the use of Automated Information Systems (AIS) and GCSS-MC. Knowledge of specialized hazardous material handling, physical security, storing and safety procedures for any hazardous materials used in his/her assigned areas. Knowledge of the BARBRA SIRS system, ATLASS 5.0, documentation requirements, and accepted merchandise methods, simple woodworking skills, procedures, and techniques is Preferred. An in-depth knowledge of supply techniques Preferred. Skill in the use of onsite automated equipment and systems Preferred.
