This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB-MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is within the Directorate of Strategic Mgmt., Skills Development Office at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Compose correspondence and reports using a variety of software programs including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, etc. Process formal and informal procurement requests in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies. Determine and validate training and other organizational requirements using research and consultation with subject matter experts. Procure a variety of services and commercial off-the-shelf items in support of organization training requirements and career fair attendance. Manage credit card purchases including establishing procedures, processing micro-purchases, and maintaining records in accordance with applicable regulations. Coordinate with requisitioners and suppliers to ensure compliance with acquisition regulations and efficient delivery. Provide procurement solutions for special assignments through analysis, investigation, and recommendation development. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service that demonstrates the following: Preparing basic correspondence and reports using standard software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, etc.; Processing and tracking requests for goods, services, or other organizational needs; and Performing basic financial tasks related to transactions, including processing payments, reconciling accounts, or maintaining financial records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-06). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One-year probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
