Summary This a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This National Guard position is a Permanent GS-2005-04/05/06 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2063000 and is part of the MO HHC 35th Engineer Brigade. This is a bargaining position. Responsibilities Responsible for providing technical assistance to subordinate units, the headquarters logistics section, or other staff sections concerning property accountability, logistics management, and maintenance management. Assists in providing proficiency training for logistical personnel within the command. Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property for units within the organization. Reviews and recommends disposition of requests for issue, turn-in, and lateral transfer of major end items of equipment (aircraft, tanks, trucks, weapons, etc.). Reviews current and future equipment authorization documents and provides recommendations for modification. Verifies property listings to ensure non-expendable quantities are commensurate with authorized levels of current or future authorization documents. Assists in the research, review, and reconstruction of supply transactions to isolate errors and provide guidance to correct deficiencies. Examines document registers, document files, suspense files, and account records to verify postings and consistency with the state level equipment status report balances. Coordinates with supported units to accomplish exchange of information on the status of shipments, reports, equipment, etc. Maintains applicable files, records and listings on equipment authorization, etc. Assists in researching, reporting, analyzing, coding, etc., as pertains to property management. Performs random reviews of subordinate unit expendable/durable requisitions. Assists in monitoring funds availability in accordance with regulations and the commander's priorities. Reviews current due-in status of back orders and identifies issues or problems. Performs audits of shortage/overage annexes to ensure all expendable/durable items are on hand, on valid requisitions, or turn-in actions have been initiated. Executes supply and maintenance discipline inspections and other like evaluations of subordinate logistical operations. Prepares or reviews convoy requests and transportation requests for movement of equipment and personnel. Prepares reports, schedules repair or maintenance, and requests replacement of GSA vehicles. Coordinates and assists in the receipt, issue, and turn-in of ammunition and residue. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - SSG (E-6) Minimum Military Grade - SPC (E-4) Enlisted - CMF 42, 92, or predominate MOS of the organization GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training, in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and experience using computer and automation systems. GS-06 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 9 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to conduct searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; and perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 6 months of specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions of a supply system; experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; and working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced. GS-04 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 3 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations in a supply function such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. This position may be filled at the GS-04 or GS-05 trainee grade or the target grade of GS-06. An applicant who is selected at one of the trainee grades will have potential for promotion to the target grade of GS-06 without further competition. Promotion to full operating/journeyman level will be made after qualifications and eligibility requirements have been met and the incumbent is performing at the higher level in a satisfactory manner. Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience at the GS-04 and GS-05 grade levels only. If you are using Education to qualify for this position at the GS-04 grade level, you must possess 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university. If you are using Education to qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess 3 academic years of education in an accredited college or university and at least 90 semester hours of study. When education is required or substituted for experience, you must submit copies of college transcripts with the application packet.
