Job Summary

Serves as the primary staff for mailing and packaging area. Assists with proper packaging and mailing of prescriptions. Responsible for ordering and maintaining shipping supplies. Assist with shipping and receiving from dock area. Serves as back up to inventory assistant role.

Job Duties Assists with the prescription filling process and packaging component.Prepares orders with appropriate paperwork using appropriate scanning tools.Packages will vary from single vial orders to boxed bulk orders to mixed medium packages including cold and non-cold orders.Packages will be prepared one order at a time.Responsible for manifesting and separating packages into proper shipping bins.Required to open and close manifest at designated times throughout the day.Responsible for replenishing supplies related to prescription fill process, included but not limited to packaging supplies, ice packs, refrigeration pack, labels, papers and other items.Provides assistance and coverage for Inventory Assistant.Responsibilities may include ordering, filing, putting away incoming order.Follows and maintains all HIPPA guidelines and requirements with patient information as established by CareSite Pharmacy and Geisinger Health.
