Support Engineer
**Position: Support Engineer – Database Security Governance** **Location: Remote** **Duration :12+ months** **Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2** We are looking for a Support Engineer to join one of our Fortune 500 Banking clients. **Job Brief:** Join our enterprise security group as a Support Engineer on the Database Security Governance team. The Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting mission-critical application database activity monitoring, encryption key management, and data protection applications. **Essential Job Functions:** + Development and support of GCP-based KMS, including scripting automation. + Provide hands-on engineering expertise for in-GCP SecuPi infrastructure, including Management Server and enforcers/agents. + Streamline installation and BAU tasks via automation and process enhancements. + Provide engineering support for systems security, including SSH keys and certificate renewals. + Embrace mentorship and training from senior engineers. + Provide continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency. + Apply recommended information security standards when installing and maintaining software. + Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for system support. **Required Qualifications:** + Ability to perform design, installation, performance testing, patching, troubleshooting, and daily engineering support of database activity monitoring software. + Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining database activity monitoring tools. + Familiarity with SecuPi database activity monitoring software. + Proficient knowledge in developing reports, alerts, and SIEM integration. + 4+ years of experience in a large-scale IT organization. Ability to work within a formal Change Control system (planning, documenting, scheduling, and implementing). + Strong knowledge of major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB, CloudSQL. + Strong knowledge of major OS platforms such as Windows, Unix/Linux. + Expertise in GCP, Helm charts, Kubernetes/distributed GKE, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform scripting. + Experience with Ansible and/or automation tools. + (Optional) Experience deploying and supporting HSM. + Ability to work independently, leading meetings with application and development teams to discover and document detailed requirements. + Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement monitoring tools and agent installations. **We are looking for the candidate who are eligible to work with any employers without sponsorship.** If you’re interested, please click **“Apply”** button.
