The Family Tree is the leading authority in Maryland for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.  Our vision is that all children are raised in safe and supportive families and communities.  We do that through proven research-based programs that strengthen families and break the cycle of abuse and neglect through parenting classes, home visiting, anger management classes, children and youth services, parent leadership and support groups, a 24/7 parenting Help Line, community education and public advocacy.  Our values are the qualities, customs, standards and principles that the organization believes drive our success.  They are mission focused  inclusion, equity and anti-bias, collaboration in teamwork, performance & recognition, excellence and respect and integrity.  The Family Tree has deep roots serving families in Maryland.   The Family Tree is the resultant agency  of the 1997 merger of two child abuse prevention agencies:  Parents Anonymous of Maryland and The Child Abuse Prevention Center.   JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the day-to-day implementation of parent support, family engagement, and children's programming across Maryland. This position also serves as the Lead Coordinator and Technical Assistance provider for Maryland’s Chapter of the Circle of Parents® National. This work is defined by the parameters of Circle of Parents® National support group standards as well as the agency’s strategic plan. The work requires staff supervision and the development and maintenance of program sites and affiliations statewide.   

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences - Required Master's degree in behavioral sciences (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services, Family Studies, and Education) preferred 3 years’ experience working in Human or Social Services. One year  experience working directly with families or children community or in group settings. One year supervisory or administrative experience Knowledge of child development and parenting skills building. Fluent in Spanish Must work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Must be prepared to travel to various program sites, and various communities.
