We are looking for an experienced Support Operations IT Finance Leader to work remotely, in North America, India, Europe, etc.

This role supports the global blueprint and digital tools that run the Finance department! It's an exciting opportunity to provide program and project management, technology leadership, and SAP expertise for the global finance department for Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions, partnering with the Finance Business Systems team to provide IT leadership related to finance initiatives and projects.


We need someone comfortable managing the resources responsible for global IT projects to drive continuous process improvement, standardization, and simplification across the finance organization. A critical aspect of this role is relationship management between IT finance and business finance to ensure IT is delivering support for all finance-related processes.

What are the core duties?
● Consistently provide insightful advice through solutions to support stakeholder's viewpoints
while considering the global blueprint.
● Partnering with stakeholder groups to drive meaningful change.
● Lead and manage the IT Support Operations team supporting Project Systems, Finance, and Controlling.
● Collaborate with client partners to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall
strategic objectives of the organization and improve business processes
● Manage budgets and contracts associated with purchase services, software agreements, and support resources
● Author and maintain the Project Systems, Finance, and Controlling technical roadmap.
● Accountable for operational excellence of assigned projects including resource
requirements, project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure
● Oversight and leadership of requirements gathering, analysis and determining alternatives for Finance organization processes
● Understand processes and complex requirements and translate them into simplified system designs and ERP functional solutions in SAP ECC6 / S4 HANA.
● Prepare detailed functional requirements and specification documents to assist the
technical team in the development of WRICEF objects for SAP FI/CO/PS and related
modules.
● Drive SAP best practices standards and implement industry best practices.
● Assess and design scalable, emerging technologies. Make non-ERP solution recommendations where applicable contributing to the broader platform ALM.
● Responsible for Finance and Project Systems related interfaces with external systems & cross-module integration with other SAP modules
● Collaborate with external AMS partners to meet SLA’s
● Identify the root cause of operational issues, diagnose problem areas, design, and build
solutions.
● Apply and adhere to IT standards including; general IT controls, security, data privacy,
quality, project management.

What skills do you need to be successful in this role?
● Experience with multinational enterprise environments, working with multicultural global
teams, delivering ERP solutions through project implementations.
● Experience contributing and leading multi-functional project delivery
● Expert in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and their integration with other SAP modules
● Hands-on experience in 2-3 complete SAP ECC/S4HANA implementations with strong SAP Product expertise for solution design.
● Understanding of all SAP modules and how they are integrated.
● Proven analytical skills and ability to operate at an appropriate level of detail for stakeholders, leading process mapping exercises.
● Stay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner and change agent to gather support and promote their implementation and use.
● Full system development life cycle hands-on experience: Analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning and documentation

Qualifications for the role:

● Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited college or university
● Solid experience in SAP ERP with strong focus on FI/CO
● Strong foundation of standard SAP processes and modules
● Proven leadership skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
● Demonstrated Program and Project Management and/or Operations experience in a matrix environment
● Experience with implementation of large IT systems
● Experience in SAP integration with multiple legacy system landscapes and third party
systems
● Strong communications skills with proven ability to serve as a change agent and thought
leader in business process development
● English language proficiency
● Preferred global experience
● Agile and /or, PMI certification
● SAP S4HANA experience or certification(s)
● SAP Development (i.e. ABAP, Fiori, etc.) knowledge is an advantage
● Experience in manufacturing industry
