Support Project Manager/Lead
Description Typical Tasks: • Reviews and designs contract specifications to ensure compliance for projects in assigned area. • Prepares, approves, evaluates, and maintains related contract information such as correspondence, reports, project invoices, contract modifications, proposals, and/or budgets. • Completes engineering functions such as inspecting project sites, estimating project costs, and managing the progress of projects. • Coordinates project implementation by interacting with the various parties involved and makes recommendations for engineering and project success. • Researches and negotiates techniques for project planning, accomplishment, and problem resolution. • Investigates and responds to inquiries and concerns for contractors, staff, the general public, and other organizational agencies. • Attends or conducts staff meetings to exchange information; attends in-service training and classes, seminars, or conferences to improve professional skills. • Performs related tasks as necessary such as training and supervising subordinate staff. • Performs other related duties as assigned. This project manager will be integral to pivotal City projects their teams are implementing. • Primary Project: Tax Modification - Transitioning from a legacy mainframe to a SaaS platform, the PM will support Michelle's team in achieving key milestones and liaise with City leaders and officials. o Related Sub-project: Master Data Management - Initiated alongside the Tax Modification project to establish long-term data integrity across City departments. • Additional Projects: Multiple VoIP and data facility upgrades - The PM will oversee construction, wiring, and deployment of VoIP systems across four remaining City locations, including judicial buildings. • Ongoing Integration: Complete assimilation of the Integrated Behavioral Health Department - This encompasses their M365, VoIP systems, and comprehensive IT management. Following the Libraries' 18-month integration, a similar timeline is anticipated for CIBH, with the caveat of uninterrupted 24/7 operations during the transition, currently six months underway.
