JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Support Services Manager the Support Services Assistant works to support the food and supplies deliveries, inventory and overall ancillary client services including client charting and finance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma and/or GED with 1 or more years of food service, food handling, inventory and/or supply management experience. Hawai’i Food Handlers Certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supports with coordination for special event planning for FTS. Provides support for the following agency activities: Overseeing the delivery and inventory of food, supplies and household goods including the use of the Foodbank at least once a month and coordinating the weekly distribution of food and supplies to the residential treatment program. Quarterly fire drills and annual safety drills Monthly building inspection in common areas, offices and individual client rooms Documentation into the electronic medical record system (WITS) as needed Management of client files including closing out charts after a client is discharged and preparing charts for new admissions. Provides support for the following direct client activities: Coordination of client store runs including reviewing and approving client spending requests and transporting clients to the grocery store weekly. Management of client program fee activities including collection of monthly fees and checking client balances on EBT cards. Assists the Support Services Manager in working with outside vendors, Executive and Clinical Director, and FTS Facilities Manager as it relates to the care and upkeep of the facility (including grounds keeping, household work orders and general maintenance issues). Covers support staff shift work between programs (as needed). Additional Employee Responsibilities at FTS: Responsible for regular attendance and notification of any absences (at least 3 hours prior to start of shift) or requests to flex schedule (allowed only after proper approval received). Use of TSA approved communication devices only (i.e. work email and work phone numbers). Timely response (within 24 business hours) to calls/texts/emails is expected. Correctly and promptly follow specified agency procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Response Codes. Participate in mandatory FTS trainings and quarterly staff meetings to keep updated with best practices and agency news. Complete annual health evaluations and TB clearances (per OHCA licensing regulations) and any other additional contract or licensing related employee requirements. Provide completed documentation to Administration. Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner. Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned to meet program needs.
