Job Summary: The Support Tech PCT II assists the EP Lab Staff by performing duties for patients and staff under the direct supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, Associate Manager, and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse when performing nursing duties.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalency required. At least one year of experience in an acute care setting preferred, with NA II certificate required. Ability to efficiently organize clerical and patient care duties while maintaining workflow despite interruptions and changing priorities. Ability to effectively communicate to patients and their families, physicians, staff and volunteers. Maintain current AHA BLS certification. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the nursing unit(s). The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/ department's policies and procedures.
