Starting wage is $20.57 per hour. Working hours are Monday to Friday days **Responsibilities:** This role's intention is to support the maintenance of rehabilitation goals achieved by clients in the day program. In addition, provide support services of housekeeping and preparing meals and snacks to individuals at the day program. + Provides supports to maintain client rehabilitation goals (set by Rehabilitation Worker) and offers assistance with housekeeping and snacks and meals + Activities in which the Support Worker may be involved with require attention to the maintenance of health and safety requirements, especially regarding lifts/ transfers/ bending/ carrying and stretching, maintenance of “universal precautions” and careful use of household cleaning materials. + Service is provided in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner which respects the client’s dignity and right to privacy. + Reporting responsibilities including incident, behavioural & verbal reports + Participate in any required training + Follow policies and procedures as required + Provide one to one support and group support within the day program and community to adults with a Brian Injury + Engages clients in activities and rehabilitation planning + Communicate with clients, family, and team members **Qualifications** **:** + **Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle** + Post-Secondary preferred in Human and Social Services but min of Grade 12 + Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility + Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills + Sound behavioural management skills, cognitive problem-solving skills. + Proven teamwork abilities + Working knowledge of ABI and rehabilitation + Ability to effectively provide support with behavioural situations + Ability to speak, read, and write English **Deadline:** If you are interested in applying, please submit your application by **February 04, 2025.** **Questions about working at March of Dimes Canada?** For general inquiries, you can reach us at recruitment@marchofdimes.ca **COVID-19 Vaccination Policy** Please note that March of Dimes Canada has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.
