Summary This job opportunity is for an SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), position description D2698000, within the 108th Force Support Squadron of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Manpower and Organization Flight of a Force Support Squadron or Flight. Responsibilities As an SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), GS-0201-11, you will: Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Maintain and ensure Records of Emergency Data forms are accomplished. Develop and conduct briefings, point papers, and data analysis on human resources matters. Provide oversight, training, and procedural guidance to Commander's Support Staffs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Requirements Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications General Experience: Experience, education or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting advanced concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. Experience assisting in the development of Human Resources policies and procedures. Experience advising management on Human Resources principles and practices.Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
