Let’s define tomorrow together. **Job overview and responsibilities** + Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all maintenance functions on shift at the assigned location(s) ensuring these activities are performed in a safe manner in accordance with schedule requirements and in compliance with all established company, regulatory and manufacturers procedures + Assigns aircraft maintenance technicians and related personnel in accordance with requirements to achieve maximum productivity and cost control + Ensures their team has the appropriate resources available and holds them accountable for the work assigned/performed + Oversee safety and security of aircraft and maintenance operations to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities + Provide leadership and direction to on shift labor workforce to maximize productivity and output whilst ensuring necessary resources are available + Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA or local work rules and company policies + Execute station performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals + Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource related performance objectives + Maintain a high level of communication with all employee groups within the station + Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to leadership whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure station and divisional objectives are achieved **This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.** **Qualifications** **Required** + High School Technical Diploma, or equivalent + 5 years in the aircraft maintenance industry + FAA A&P Certificate - Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations + Must hold a valid Passport and U.S. Visa (Prescheduled US Consulate visit will be accepted) + Must possess a valid local driver’s license + Fluent written & spoken English and Portuguese + Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship + 2 years in a leadership role in the industry - Strong background & technical knowledge on fleet types operated and its maintenance programs + Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship + Must be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken) + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
