Job overview and responsibilities
Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all maintenance functions on shift at the assigned location(s) ensuring these activities are performed in a safe manner in accordance with schedule requirements and in compliance with all established company, regulatory and manufacturers proceduresAssigns aircraft maintenance technicians and related personnel in accordance with requirements to achieve maximum productivity and cost controlEnsures their team has the appropriate resources available and holds them accountable for the work assigned/performedOversee safety and security of aircraft and maintenance operations to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities Provide leadership and direction to on shift labor workforce to maximize productivity and output whilst ensuring necessary resources are availableBuild / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA or local work rules and company policiesExecute station performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource related performance objectives Maintain a high level of communication with all employee groups within the station Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to leadership whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure station and divisional objectives are achievedThis position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
QualificationsRequired
High School Technical Diploma, or equivalent 5 years in the aircraft maintenance industryFAA A&P Certificate - Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations Must hold a valid Passport and U.S. Visa (Prescheduled US Consulate visit will be accepted)Must possess a valid local driver’s license Fluent written & spoken English and PortugueseMust be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship 2 years in a leadership role in the industry - Strong background & technical knowledge on fleet types operated and its maintenance programsMust be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
