Northern Light Mayo Hospital Department: Materials Management Position is located: Mayo Hospital Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Summary: The Primary role of this position is to assist in the oversight of Materials Staff, Receiving, Print Shop, Mail/Postage and Courier services (Where applicable). This position will report to the Director of Materials. Duties will include managing personal, oversight and operation of perpetual Inventory, preparing draft budgets, annual reviews, staff Meetings, coding of invoices from vendors, working closely with Northern Light Health Purchasing and Distributors. Provide assistance with coordinating product conversions in supply areas. Develop departmental policies and procedures to be reviewed by materials leadership. Employee in this position needs to have a thorough understanding of supply chain with an emphasis on Materials Management. Strong experience with operational leadership with KPI, reporting, and data driven process management. The ability to provide the highest quality of customer service. Hands-on and develops solutions that align with the organization’s objectives. Responsibilities: + Responsible for department/staff safety, ensuring that the department environment is free from recognized hazards, that could lead to injury of healthcare workers, patients and/or visitors. + Manage/Oversight of Perpetual inventory and day-to-day operations (which includes Re-stocking, adjusting of Inventory par levels, Purchasing, Backorders, Recalls and Returns. + Management of day-to-day operations for Materials Management, Receiving, Print shop, Mail/Postage and Courier services (where applicable). Assuring timely, efficient service that provides internal customer and patient satisfaction. + Administrative and Managerial duties: Maintains a high-level team through Recognition, Accountability, Annual Reviews, Retention, Hiring, Scheduling, Engagement and maintaining an open-door policy with staff. Maintaining of employee files with all necessary documentation up to and including counseling and corrective actions, which may include terminations. + Develop departmental Policy and Procedures: Helps develop policies and procedures for departmental staff, for smooth and efficient operations of the department. + Maintain Excellent Customer Service by building and maintaining positive trusting relationships with internal and external customers. + Assist in preparing and managing budget and financial responsibility. + Coordinate/assist with staff education and Training as appropriate. + Engagement in Quality, Patient Experience, Safety, and Incident Command functions are needed to support organizational goals. + Other duties as assigned. Other Information: + 5-7 years of Materials Management and/or other Supply Chain experience. Education + Required High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED) + Associates degree preferred. In lieu of associate's degree, four years of relevant experience is required. + 5-7 years of Materials Management and/or other Supply Chain experience.
