Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the 480 IW Systems Integration Branch (SCT). Responsibilities DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Systems Integration Branch, ensuring that the office complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets 480 IW needs. DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3: Represents the 480 IW with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. DUTY 4: Receives all Wing assignments and projects from the 480 IW/SC and other senior management personnel, along with background information and related material. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience includes wide knowledge of policy and planning concepts and practices sufficient to lead development of an enterprise IT modernization plan; ability to apply new development approaches and procedures; resolve novel or obscure problems, modify and extend existing techniques, and develop policy and guidance for use by others; skill in project management techniques; knowledge of interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines; knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of project management, enterprise management and military communication concepts and processes behind the preparation of peacetime/war requirements plans. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to recognize the interrelationships of the various aspects of project management and skill in integrating and analyzing such information in order to evaluate overall program status. Ability to visualize the effects and ramifications of recommendations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
