The Dept. Supervisor is responsible for the performance of laboratory procedures conducted in specific sections of the clinical laboratory in accordance with the policies and procedures that are in effect. The Key Areas of the laboratory are Blood bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Microbiology. The Dept. Supervisor insures that all instruments are maintained in their section of the laboratory. The Dept. supervisor may well be expected to perform other functions not specified. There are other duties such as teaching, purchasing, inventorying, writing procedures, etc. that could be logical assignments for this position depending on the area in which the individual excels. The Dept. supervisor will assume an active role in the LOC. The Dept. supervisor will accept responsibility for total quality improvement efforts that are developed by the LOC and implement policies and procedures accordingly. 8am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday
MT (ASCP) with BS Degree.
MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), CLT (HEW), military trained MOS 92B30, NEC 8417, NEC 8506, AFSC 90420, AFB 90470 plus 5 years experience in a hospital laboratory.
MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), CLT (HEW), Military trained with MOS 92B30, NEC 8417, NEC 8506, AFSC 90450, AFB 90470 plus 40 quarter hours of college biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics (24 semester hours) plus 2 years current experience in a hospital laboratory.
