\nJob Summary
\nAs a Sterile Processing Supervisor, oversee supply distribution in healthcare settings like hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms. Your role is crucial in maintaining service standards and resource availability.
\nEnsure our department meets or exceeds healthcare accreditation standards cost-effectively. Manage smaller sites with fewer than ten employees. Success in this role will improve healthcare services operations.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nOrganize supply delivery in healthcare, ensuring quality and timeliness. Ensure proper staffing and staff involvement in improving performance.\nRegularly clean the department surface areas, shelving, storage cabinets, and all storage locations in the facility.\nWork with facility units to maintain inventory levels, set standards, monitor stock, and ensure resource use is proper.\nCreate supply control processes to ensure patient care materials are always available. Regularly check inventory in nursing units and provide emergency items. Handle inquiries, complaints, or questions about equipment and supplies.\nHelp process and sterilize instruments. Make sure everything stays clean for patient safety. This helps prevent the spread of contamination.\nOversee cleaning patient rental equipment. Monitor use, costs, and get equipment from outside services as needed.\nMaintain equipment with regular maintenance. Follow safety rules, including OSHA guidelines, for handling Ethylene Oxide and sterilized items safely.\nIdentify areas that need improvement, assess potential enhancement opportunities, and passionately participate in process improvement initiatives.\n\nKey Success Factors

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma or GED EquivalentEXPERIENCE - (3) three years LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Cert Reg Central Service Tech (CRCST), Cert Sterile Proc/Distr Tech (CSPDT), Sterile Processing Mgmt Cert (CSPM), Cert Surgical Technologist (CST), License Pract/Vocational Nurse (LVN): Must have one.\tLVN orCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) orCertified Board Sterile Prcng & Dist (CBSPD) orCertified Sterile Proc/Distr Tech (CSPDT) orSterile Processing Mgmt Certification (CSPM) or -- Certified Reg Central Service Tech through IAHCSMM (CRCST).
