The Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation will supervise the activities of the maintenance electrical employees assigned to their area while maintaining proper safety practices. They will assign and direct work to meet maintenance requirements, while coordinating to meet production schedules with a minimum of downtime and cost.
Principle Accountabilities:
Plan, schedule and direct daily activities of multi-craft electrical and instrumentation personnel to meet department requirements. Coordinate with operating departments to maximize efficiency while minimizing downtime and costs.
Check all completed work before releasing equipment to operations department.
Work with other department supervisors to maintain efficient use of raw materials, utilities & equipment.
Manage minor capital projects utilizing in-house or contracted services.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years training in electrical field beyond high school
Four (4) years minimum of work experience in electrical power distribution, distributed control systems, PLC’s and drives
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology
Paper industry experience
