The Role

Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications. Responsible for daily operations of an electrical team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day-to-day workflow, and operating costs). Program Manager Responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract. Assignments are received in task oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives. Analysis & interpretation. Full working knowledge of procedures and practices. Relates more to specific job function. Risk to the corporation is minimal. Makes decisions relating to accomplishment of daily work responsibilities. Monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groups. Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department. Policy management: Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees. Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizations unit. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources. Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. Liaison normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters.  DoD clearance is required

Must Have

Apprentice graduate, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4 years of applicable technical experience. OR Related Apprentice certification (i.e. NDT, Dimensional Control) & 0 Years.  Master’s degree and 2 years relevant experience. 

4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.   8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and experience. Nice to Have

Able to maintain a confidential clearance.
