SURF Material, Welding & NDT Specialist

Are you ready to take on the role of SURF Material, Welding & NDT Specialist for a major deep-water greenfield project? Join our team in Paris, France and make a significant impact in the industry. With a focus on technical quality, cost control, and H3SE standards, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the economic results of this project.
Role Overview Oversee all FEED material selection, corrosion, welding, and NDE engineering activities, managing all FEED contractor technical activities. Ensure compliance with project specifications, international norms, and standards across all documentation, aiming to optimize costs without compromising quality or safety. Supervise detailed engineering by reviewing relevant documentation (e.g., WPS/WPQR, technical documentation, queries). Serve as the technical referent for material selection, corrosion, welding, and NDE matters. Ensure technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle for the engineered, procured, fabricated, tested, and installed flowlines/spools/jumpers/materials and equipment. Anticipate potential issues and deviations, providing timely solutions and ensuring the implementation of project policies and requirements in areas like QA/QC and H3SE. Liaise with other package teams (SPS, FPSO, etc.) to manage interface matters with the support of Interface Managers. Coordinate with the SURF contract engineer for correspondence and contract activities throughout the CFT process and project execution. Gather 'lessons learned' and provide feedback to entities as required. Skills & Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in large offshore oil & gas SURF deep-water projects. Relevant experience and qualifications in NDT (e.g., AUT, Phased Array, TOFD, IWEX). Good knowledge of relevant codes (DNV) Experience with major SURF contractors during project execution for deep-water projects. Positive, proactive, and pragmatic mindset with the ability to work within large teams. Previous experience in complex and multicultural working environments. Education & Experience Qualification: Master’s degree in engineering with specialization in Material Sciences, ESSA, or IWE qualification. Languages: Fluent in English.
