About the role

 

Our Surface Maintenance Department, composed of approximately 115 people, is integrated into the Surface Operations Team and focuses on safe and reliable operation of plant equipment in collaboration with Surface Production. As the overall Surface Maintenance leader, you will effectively direct all aspects of the Surface Maintenance Department while ensuring development, implementation, and execution of the department’s strategic plan for safe, reliable, and cost effective operation of the plant. You will be responsible to direct our Solmax (Maintenance Excellence) transformation and have a positive impact on the organization while working to improve the employee experience.  And as part of the Plant Leadership Team you will have a voice in the strategic direction of the operation and the design of the workplace culture. You will be accountable for: Assuring a safe and regulatory compliant work environment with the goal of ZERO injuries Ensuring effective use of resources to drive equipment availability at optimum cost in support of continually increasing production volume requirements.  This will be achieved via implementation of advanced equipment reliability practices and industry best practices for Maintenance Excellence. Setting the strategic and tactical plans for achievement of annual and long range safety, volume, cost and productivity business goals Driving world class training and skills development for the maintenance organization to support achievement of strategic objectives including technical repair methods and advanced predictive techniques for workforce and general leadership capability for staff Creating a positive, supportive workplace culture that emphasizes effective communications, trust, transparency and engagement We offer at-will employment based on site working a 4/10 schedule

 

About you

 

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant field Relevant work experience: 5+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance leadership roles, ideally has experience leading transformation or change initiative project Must have experience with Maintenance Excellence elements such as predictive maintenance technologies, planning & scheduling processes, equipment reliability methods and outage optimization Candidates with experience in large, complex continuous process chemical plant operations will be given preference in consideration Candidates with both Production and Maintenance experience highly desirable Competencies: Strong drive for results and ensuring accountability Effective communication and business process oriented thinking Development of direct reports and others Behaviors: Strong influencing skills Agility and adaptability to changing conditions and priorities Fosters transparent, collaborative and engaging workplace culture

About the pay and benefits

 

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the US base pay reasonably expected for this role is $150,000 to $180,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
