Surface Prep Technician – 1st Shift
Walpole, MA
As the Surface Prep Technician – 1st Shift for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing processes in one or more areas, including: grinding, gaging and buffing propulsion blades, preparing blades for final inspection, multiple levels of packaging for blades including preparing the packaging and crating. Support processes with loading and unloading components from machines, fixtures and lifting fixtures.

Key Accountabilities:
Perform manufacturing processes such as cleaning propulsion Blades and internal components ready for inspectionPerform packaging of and prepare equipment and/or toolingEnsure full utilization of all equipment whilst following health, safety and environmental procedures and regulationsShow demonstrable team working skills for achieving targets and assisting with continuous improvement projectsShow ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 poundsHave no allergic reaction to chemicals or materials used in performing related tasksBasic Requirements:
High School Diploma with 2+ years prior experience in a lean/precision manufacturing environmentExperience with Microsoft Office Suite productsIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA CitizenshipPreferred Requirements:
