Surgical Technologist/CST Apprentice - PRN position in the Main Operating Room at Lutheran Health Network - Lutheran Hospital

MUST BE ENROLLED IN A SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST PROGRAM TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY

Join Lutheran Hospital as a Surg Tech apprentice while you are in school and get a head start on your new and exciting career! Under the immediate supervision of Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor, Surgery, and the clinical guidance of a registered nurse and surgical technologist, prepares the surgical suite and patient for surgery and assists the team during the procedure. 

No experience is required! Lutheran Health Network will provide on the job training. Transcripts of classes must be submitted to confirm graduation date and period of time in actual programEarn a competitive wage! Flexible hours to accommodate your school schedule. 

Education/Requirements:

Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).Currently, first- or second-year student in the Surgical Technology Program.Students must successfully complete an initial classroom component, which includes basic laboratory check-off stations.  Documentation must be provided before performing position-specific essential functions in the operating room clinical setting.

CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within three (3) months of hire
