Position Summary: The operating room technician is responsible for setting up the operating room for each surgery. This is accomplished by checking and providing needed supplies and necessary equipment depending on the type of surgery that will be performed. This is an OSHA Category I. Certification- BLS; valid certified AST (Association of Surgical Technologists) and/or NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), or valid CA LVN license, Valid graduationcertification from approved O.R. scrub technology school.
