Job Description

The surgery orderly/nursing assistant serves as the primary patient transport person.

Job Duties

Assist with patient care and function as a messenger when needed.Transfer, transport, move, lift, and position patients.May scrub for cases if indicated.Assists in maintaining a clean safe environment, which includes stocking designated supplies and assists with cleaning between surgical procedures.Trained yearly on age specific care and completes core competencies for patient populations designated in the Scope of Service.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED is required.Excellent communication skills.Heavy Lifting and moving is required.

Preferred Requirements

Previous healthcare experience is helpful.
