Job Type: PRN | Days | Weekend call coverage required on a rotating basis.  Friday evening 5pm or 7pm through Sunday evening 7pm. 20-minute response time.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hireACLS within three (3) months of hireOR RN experience requiredRecent experience within last five (5) years in the perioperative fieldComplete moderate sedation course within three (3) months of hireCNOR certification preferredOR Charge Nurse experience preferredRadiology experience preferredCardiac monitoring experience preferred

Department/Unit Summary

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
