Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures, pre-admission testing, and posting of surgical charges. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + Meets with patient to coordinate surgical date. + Reviews preoperative instructions: bowel preparation, no aspirin, etc. + Registers patient and procedure with the appropriate hospital scheduling department. + Coordinates cases requiring multi-specialty surgeons, utilization of an assistant surgeon, or physician assistant. + Correlates pre-admission testing and surgical clearance appointments. **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : + High school graduate or equivalent + Medical office experience as cashier or receptionist **Preferred qualifications:** + One year of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding experience preferred This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
