Direct activities of theSurgical Advanced Clinical and Innovation Specialistinclude, but are not limited to, supporting creating and supporting advanced trainings, with a focus on surgical products, ExCEL product case coverage, cross functional collaboration, and participation in ExCEL process execution for product and program needs. Is accountable for supporting MBO’s and yearly goals of the Advanced Clinical and Innovation Team. Participate in cross functional activities with the product development teams and product management teams while ensuring all advanced training initiatives adhere to the product Instructions for Use. The Surgical Advanced Clinical and Innovation Specialist will always demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Work with the Manager, Advanced Clinical and Innovation Training to establish and execute new product, product enhancement and new indication launch strategies specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsProvide clinical support to cross functional teams throughout product milestonesProvide clinical support and case coverage for research products and first in man specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsAssist to identify, coordinate and execute ExCEL launch trainings and curriculum development specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsSupport voice of customers (VOC) and innovation suites, and major tradeshowsExecute ExCEL clinical launch plan US and globallyConduct on-boarding activities and training of new team members as directedConduct continuing education for Abiomed Field TeamExecute quarterly MBOs to align with cross functional team and commercial business needsCreate and review of clinical and clinical marketing content specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsCoordinate and communicate IFU updates with the Global Content ManagerDevelop and execute advanced training programs specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsAlign with global partners to standardize advanced training initiatives specific to, but not limited to, surgical productsDemonstrate Abiomed’s Principles, Abiomed’s Operating Procedures, and Johnson Johnson’s Credo

Required:

Minimum of 4 years cardiovascular clinical experienceClinical experience in the surgical operating theaterDisplay enhanced leadership and team building attributesViewed as a Clinical and Product SME in current roleDesire to impact patient outcomesExhibit effective strategic planning skillsMust have a keen sense of prioritization, organization, flexibility, and time management to ensure maximum effectiveness for the benefit of the team.Able to maintain confidentiality and safeguard materials and information requiredPossess executive communication skillsDemonstrates high level of presentation skills, professionalism, and integrityProficiency with Microsoft office programs requiredAbility for 50-75% travel

Preferred:

2 years as an Advanced Surgical Consultant or have minimum of 4 years of Abiomed Field Team experience or previous surgical theater experience with high volume Impella 5.5 and RPSA experience highly preferredComplete Abiomed product portfolio experienceExCEL launch experience preferredProficiency with productivity tools and portal technology a plus (Veeva Vault, Salesforce, Concur, Tableau, Cornerstone, OnDemand, Workday, SharePoint)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $94,000 - $151,400

The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Undercurrent guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.

§Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

§Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

§This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

§Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

·Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

·Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

·Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
