**Responsibilities**
As a Surgical Advice Nurse at the Dignity Health Medical Foundation Chemotherapy Infusion clinic, you will perform patient assessments, as needed provide direct patient care and administer treatments and medications in an infusion capacity, and instruct patient and family in various self administered treatments and procedures.
**Some of your daily activities will include:**
+ Documenting assessments, observations and interventions
+ Maintaining equipment, supplies and initiating and maintaining IV therapy
+ We provide an important education component for patients and their caregivers so you’ll be expected to thoroughly explain diagnosis and plans for ongoing treatment to patients
+ Be compassionate and patient, providing the best care possible to our clients every day.
+ Above all, deliver the best possible care to every patient every day. Maintain their dignity.
+ Triage messages / True “advice” nurse role with certs & skills necessary to provide infusion if needed
+ Work with clinicians re: treatment plans
+ Reviewing medication issues

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a formal Registered Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Registered Nurse program, (determination made by DH Medical Foundation Human Resources department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professionals)
+ Clear and current CA RN license
+ Current BLS through American Heart Association
+ ONS certificate OR ONS/ONCC certificate is required
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Prior chemo mixing experience preferred.

**Pay Range**
$62.22 - $74.43 /hour
