Reporting to the Unified Administrator and Associate Administrator the Women's Health Surgical Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all surgical efforts for Women's Health OB/GYN. S/he will oversee work completed by schedulers/secretaries (coordinators), to facilitate operating room access while maximizing operating room utilization and physician efficiency. S/he must demonstrate critical thinking, anticipate, and solve complex problems through coordination with MMC Perioperative Services, physicians , surgical schedulers/secretaries (coordinators) , and other departments.

Job Responsibilities
Oversees and coordinates surgical schedule for Women's Health OB/GYN at all Campuses (Moses, Weiler, Wakefield, The Hutch Ambulatory Surgery Center, and all future sites)
Qgenda and Epic Surgical Time Reconciliation
Ensure all elective scheduled surgeries are covered by insurance and have required authorization
Ensure all elective scheduled surgeries have met paperwork requirements and pre-testing requirements are properly received by the MMC Perioperative Service team
Lead surgical scheduling (coordinating) team with assessment and coordination of urgent cases cross mission
Maintain reporting and metrics for infection control, cancellations, rescheduling, or any other pertinent surgical outcome inclusive of revenue impact
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 3 years in OR maintenance and scheduling. If no BA Degree equivalent of 7+ years experience
Knowledge of EMR and EMR reporting (EPIC)
Knowledge of Insurances and Authorizations
Ability to utilize Telephone/Fax/Scanner/Copier
Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, and Qgenda
